- Teachers are responsible for the children and SACPSSA accepts no responsibility for injuries. If a school is changing officials during the day, it needs to coordinate those changes to allow the smooth running of the carnival. Schools must not use students as supervisors.
- At no stage must a checkpoint allocated to your school be left unsupervised by an adult.
- Due to duty of care requirements, no race will begin until officials are present on all checkpoints.
- Country schools do not pay nomination fees.
