It is with sadness that I inform you that one of SACPSSA’s true legends, Ric Trutwin, died on Wednesday, 29th December, 2021.
Ric demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the SACPSSA carnival program, and tens of thousands of students in Catholic primary schools benefited from Ric’s commitment and generosity over the decades of his service.
A summary of Ric’s achievements include:
- SACPSSA Swimming Carnival Coordinator and member of the SACPSSA Executive for 26 years (1992 – 2017).
- SACPSSA Clerical Officer for 22 years (1996 – 2017).
- Awarded SACPSSA Life Membership in 2001.
- Elevated to SACPSSA Hall of Fame Legend status in 2017.
But what most who had the privilege of working with Ric will remember about him was his infectious cheerfulness, positivity, and wonderful good humour.
