Congratulations to these recipients of awards at the 2020 ACHPER (SA) PE Week Dinner held Friday, 6th November. Awards were based on excellence in the teaching of Health and PE and coordination of carnivals and out of hours sport within Catholic primary schools. This group of winners includes (L to R): Scott Hughes, Catherine McAuley, Craigmore; Kas Pillay, St Augustine’s, Salisbury and Tristan Lorensini, St Columba College, Andrew’s Farm

Congratulations also to Nick Skewes, St Augustine’s, Salisbury, who was awarded the Norma Jenner Memorial Award for Excellence in Health and Physical Education Teaching in the Primary Years. Unfortunately, Nick wasn’t able to be present at the dinner to accept the award. It’s also worth noting that among the three nominations for this award was another Catholic school teacher, Michael Woods, St Martin’s, Greenacres. Congratulations to Michael for the nomination. This is third time in the last four years where this prestigious recognition has been awarded to a teacher in a Catholic primary school.

Congratulations to Bec Keller, St Joseph’s, Hindmarsh, who was awarded a Certificate of Excellence at the 2020 ACHPER PE Week Dinner in recognition of her ongoing excellence in the leadership of Physical Education and Sport at St Joseph’s, Hindmarsh, and to acknowledge her years of service to the SA Catholic PS Sports Association Professional Development Committee and carnival programme.

At the ACHPER (SA) PE Week Dinner held Friday, 6th November, SACPSSA was again recognised for its support of ACHPER, not only with regards to Physical Educational Week, but for its ongoing partnership in providing quality professional development opportunities for teachers in the areas of Health and Physical Education.
